meet. I was born and raised in Mexico, which gives me the ability to provide therapy fluently in Spanish as well
as in English along with a personal understanding of Latino culture. I also have a connection with Deaf culture

Personal statement:
I've been in the mental health field for over 25 years and still strive to keep my "beginner's mind".
I have a psychodynamic orientation, and my work is informed by many things, including the buddhist principal
that suffering comes from attachment to things we often aren't aware of or simply don't know how to let go of.
I've found it helpful to use various wisdom resources, poetry, and humor in therapy. I very much enjoy the
work and the people I work with, and I look forward to connecting with you.

When I started Catalyst Mental Health as a private practice in Uptown back in November of 2011, I dreamed of growing
it into a larger clinic someday. Now, that dream has been fully realized. We're currently serving thousands of
clients per year across multiple locations in the Twin Cities region and beyond. I am no longer directly engaged in clinical
work, but I remain a resource for providers in our group interested my clinical expertise. I look forward to continue serving
and directing Catalyst in the future.
