I believe that the foundation of growth begins within the relationship between individual and therapist. The desire to feel seen, heard, and understood is universal and is an essential part of our overall well-being. I celebrate the courage of individuals who take steps into healing by engaging in the therapeutic process to manifest the life they desire. I am passionate about working together to ensure that you become an expert on yourself and believe in your own insight, strength, and self awareness. I believe that humor and laughter bring out our authentic selves and utilize this philosophy in my work.
For the past 20+ years I've had the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I have a special interest in women's issues, PTSD and trauma, and healthy relationships. Other specialty areas include depression, anxiety, ADHD, and social anxiety. Asking for help does not always come easy, and I am willing and able to meet you where you are.

Therapy can be many things: healing, grounding, even artistic. At its best, it is a space where your strengths, pain, and experiences are honored, and where real change becomes possible. I believe in meeting people where they are, and see therapy as a collaborative journey, using your personal story as the guide. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to help you work through anxiety, depression, and trauma, while supporting you in reconnecting with your inner resilience.
I have experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and feel strongly about creating a therapy space that is inclusive, respectful, and affirming. My current areas of interest are trauma/PTSD, anxiety and depression, and I work with preteens, teens, and adults.

I believe that building a solid relationship is a key component of a positive therapy experience. I use a person-centered approach to create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for each person to share their unique story with me. I work regularly with the LGBTQAI community and feel strongly about keeping this a safe space for all.
I have a passion for working with college students/young adults, helping you to work through life transitions, and better understand yourself and others. Through my sex therapy certification, I am constantly working towards destigmatizing sex and the like topics.
People universally want to feel heard, understood, and seen, and I aim to provide this for each person.

It can be exhausting to spend so much time thinking about what you should be doing differently while feeling unsure how to make things change. Maybe anxiety is taking up more space, conflict in your relationships keeps repeating, or you’re harder on yourself than you would be to someone you care about. Therapy gives us a chance to slow down and look at what’s happening when you feel stuck. Rather than pushing feelings aside or trying to fix them right away, we can listen to what they’re trying to tell us and use that understanding to create meaningful change.
I work with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, social anxiety, blended family dynamics, and religious trauma. My approach tends to draw from mindfulness, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and internal family systems (IFS).
But often, what seems to be even more important than the approach we use is the relationship we build along the way. I want therapy to be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself, feel understood, and can make sense of what you’re going through.

Thank you for advocating for yourself and/or your relationship—it's a brave and vulnerable step. Sometimes life gets in the way of our growth. Sometimes our past casts long shadows into the present. And sometimes, it's the fear of the future that keeps us stuck. My experience includes working with children, individuals, couples, and families. I offer a non-judgmental and supportive space to talk through what’s been on your mind, what’s been worrying you, or what you’d like to change. I’m a person of color, fluent in Arabic and English, and committed to creating a welcoming space for people from all walks of life.
I take a person-centered, experiential approach—meaning our time together is focused on you. I believe each person is unique: I’m interested in your values, early experiences, cultural background, and how all of these influence your relationships and decisions today.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply trying to understand yourself better, I'm here to support you. I’m especially attuned to the unique challenges that can come with navigating multiple cultural identities, inter-generational expectations, or the pressure to appear strong while feeling stuck inside.

Witnessing people create meaningful changes in their lives has been my greatest privilege as a therapist. Strong, loving relationships, healthy family bonds, vocational success, healing from wounds of trauma, and reconnecting to a joyful participation in life are some of the experiences I have been able to share with clients. I hold a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and bring my background in creative arts, trauma work, and rich life experience to help clients get past the barriers of anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My experience includes work with children, adolescents, adults and families. My primary specialty is trauma, but I also have a lot of experience with ADHD, children and adults impacted by divorce and family transitions. Other specialties include anxiety, depression, relationship struggles and compulsive behavior patterns.

My name is Courtney Mensink and I have a license in both mental health and addiction counseling. I have worked in the field of addiction counseling since 2019 and have been licensed in mental health counseling since 2023. I specialize in working with individuals that are experiencing addiction, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, co-dependency, and self-esteem issues. I am passionate about helping people learn better coping skills, emotion regulation, and self-awareness and acceptance.
In my practice, I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and DBT. With a client-centered, compassionate approach, I work to empower clients to develop coping skills, challenge negative thoughts, and build emotional resilience, guiding them toward lasting recovery and improved well-being.
I understand how overwhelming it can feel to face addiction, anxiety, or depression. You don’t have to go through this alone. Together, we can explore your struggles, build coping skills, and work towards a healthier, more balanced life. If you're ready to take the first step toward healing and change, I’m here to support you on your journey.
