It takes a lot of courage to reach out to a therapist, and you've taken that first step already. I don't know your story yet, but if you are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, or loss, you don't need to go through it alone. You deserve support, comfort, and help. Whatever you're struggling with, you're invited to my office—in person or virtual—for a conversation.
I'm an open, gentle, sometimes sarcastic person. Therapy usually involves grappling with some uncomfortable feelings, but my clients and I also often joke and laugh in our meetings. I have training and experience dealing with a range of issues from grief to ADHD, but everyone's path is unique. I'd love to walk with you for as long as I can be helpful.

Witnessing people create meaningful changes in their lives has been my greatest privilege as a therapist. Strong, loving relationships, healthy family bonds, vocational success, healing from wounds of trauma, and reconnecting to a joyful participation in life are some of the experiences I have been able to share with clients. I hold a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and bring my background in creative arts, trauma work, and rich life experience to help clients get past the barriers of anxiety, depression, and trauma.
My experience includes work with children, adolescents, adults and families. My primary specialty is trauma, but I also have a lot of experience with ADHD, children and adults impacted by divorce and family transitions. Other specialties include anxiety, depression, relationship struggles and compulsive behavior patterns.

I’m fascinated by how complex we are as human beings and how enriching our emotional and social experiences can be. I find that what’s most helpful in therapy is to take time to find the strength in the individuals and families I meet. I was born and raised in Mexico, which gives me the ability to provide therapy fluently in Spanish as well as in English along with a personal understanding of Latino culture, American culture and multicultural relationships. I also have a connection with Deaf culture in Minnesota and deep respect for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Soy de México, lo que me dá la habilidad de dar consejería en Español o en Inglés con un entendimiento de la cultura y familias Latinas. Me va a dar gusto conocerte y entender por lo que estás pasando.

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate difficult emotions, life transitions, and experiences that feel overwhelming or hard to manage alone. My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, meaning I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over four years working in emergency room and inpatient psychiatric settings supporting individuals during acute mental health crises. This experience shaped my trauma-informed perspective and deepened my understanding of how challenging and isolating mental health struggles can feel.
During my clinical training, I was also introduced to EMDR concepts while working with trauma-related concerns under supervision. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults and aim to create a supportive space where clients can develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful growth.

I have a passion for working with adolescents and young adults and for the unique struggles that they face. Using a person-centered approach, I aim to create a space for you to tell your individual story in a safe and trusting environment. I want to know you and help you feel that your problems are valid, real, and manageable. Though we are all individuals, we grow up and live within systems and social contexts that shape our experiences, and I do my best to acknowledge this aspect of you in addition to your autonomy.
There is no "right" reason to seek therapy. Sometimes life is hard, and talking to a therapist can make it feel a little easier. Whether you are experiencing stress and anxiety from school, feeling sad about a break-up, frustrated from losing a job, or overwhelmed about politics and the state of the world, we can work through that together.

Thank you for advocating for yourself and/or your relationship—it's a brave and vulnerable step. Sometimes life gets in the way of our growth. Sometimes our past casts long shadows into the present. And sometimes, it's the fear of the future that keeps us stuck. My experience includes working with children, individuals, couples, and families. I offer a non-judgmental and supportive space to talk through what’s been on your mind, what’s been worrying you, or what you’d like to change. I’m a person of color, fluent in Arabic and English, and committed to creating a welcoming space for people from all walks of life.
I take a person-centered, experiential approach—meaning our time together is focused on you. I believe each person is unique: I’m interested in your values, early experiences, cultural background, and how all of these influence your relationships and decisions today.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply trying to understand yourself better, I'm here to support you. I’m especially attuned to the unique challenges that can come with navigating multiple cultural identities, inter-generational expectations, or the pressure to appear strong while feeling stuck inside.

I want to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere so you can address the problems that are interfering with your life. A supportive connection is the most important ingredient to the therapy relationship and I strive to make that my priority every day. You will find that I vary from being direct and challenging to silly, warm and gentle. I enjoy including family members in therapy sessions when appropriate. I incorporate DBT, CBT, Mindfulness and strengths-based, solution-focused perspectives into my practice.
I enjoy working with a variety of presenting issues including but not limited to depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD and C-PTSD, grief, emotion regulation difficulties, sleep difficulties, self-harm and suicidal ideation, work and relationship stress, improving communication in important relationships and navigating life stress.

Therapy can be many things: healing, grounding, even artistic. At its best, it is a space where your strengths, pain, and experiences are honored, and where real change becomes possible. I believe in meeting people where they are, and see therapy as a collaborative journey, using your personal story as the guide. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to help you work through anxiety, depression, and trauma, while supporting you in reconnecting with your inner resilience.
I have experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and feel strongly about creating a therapy space that is inclusive, respectful, and affirming. My current areas of interest are trauma/PTSD, anxiety and depression, and I work with preteens, teens, and adults.

You’re driven, capable, and often seen as “doing fine”—even when you feel overwhelmed inside. Maybe anxiety is showing up before tests, games, or social situations. Maybe you’re questioning who you are outside of school, your sport, or others' expectations. I work with preteens, teens, and young adults to slow down, manage anxiety, build confidence, and reconnect with what matters. You don’t have to do it all alone—and you don’t have to have it all figured out.
My approach is warm, direct, and strengths-based. I lead with empathy while also holding space for accountability. We’ll build on what’s working, explore what’s getting in the way, and take practical steps toward change so you can move forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.
I just elected a membership with Association for Social Work in Sport (ASWIS). This is a Professional Member of the Association for Social Work in Sport (ASWIS), a national organization dedicated to advancing mental health care for athletes.
