I've been in the mental health field for over 25 years and still strive to keep my "beginner's mind". I have a psychodynamic orientation (which means I believe that the relationship between the therapist and you is an important part of the process). My work is informed by many things, including the Buddhist principal that suffering comes from attachment to things we often aren't aware of or simply don't know how to let go of. I've found it helpful to use various wisdom resources, poetry, and humor in therapy.
Regardless of theoretical orientation and style, research has shown that in order for therapy to be effective, people must feel that the therapist has a genuine sense of connection to them. I very much enjoy the work and the people I work with, and I look forward to connecting.

Life is full of ups and downs, and I feel honored to be able to help those who are seeking counseling. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment to help my clients feel most comfortable while in their counseling session.
I enjoy working with adults on an individual basis. My areas of interest are anxiety, depression, trauma, mindfulness meditation, finding meaning in life, relationship conflict, and school/work stress. It’s never too late or too early to make positive life changes. It’s always the right time when we decide to better our lives.

There’s a lot in life we can’t control, but your power to make change is greater than you think. I offer a welcoming space to discuss life’s big questions or steps toward your goals. If you’re boxed in by work pressures, family conflicts, relationship issues, or harmful habits, let’s build a plan for change. If anger or stress are causing actions that don’t match your values, let’s draft a map for navigating hard moments.
My approach is flexible and nonjudgmental. I integrate tools from dialectical behavior therapy to help clients improve communication and build comfort with tough emotions. I take a strengths-based approach to highlight the skills and resilience you already have, and take an existential view with clients exploring their purpose in the world.

I have a true passion for helping people of all ages build on their inner strengths and break free from negative thought and behavior patterns that get in the way of living a healthy balanced life. I use an integrative framework, drawing from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other treatment approaches, tailored to meet each person where they are in their own unique journey towards growth and healing.
I work with ages 18 and up, and have a special interest in anxiety disorders, grief, and trauma treatment. My top priority is to ensure effective therapeutic treatment, while providing a compassionate, trusting, and non-judgmental environment for everyone.

I believe it takes a lot of strength to reach out for help. Engaging in therapy often means a willingness to be vulnerable. It's an honor and privilege for me to experience that space with clients. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, grief, life transitions, or just feeling stuck, therapy can be a place to slow down and make sense of yourself, others and the world around you. I work with teens, adults, and older adults, and I especially enjoy supporting folks who are neurodivergent (like those with ADHD or autism), as well as older adults and caregivers navigating big life changes.
My style is warm, thoughtful, and low-pressure. I want you to feel safe showing up just as you are. I mostly use a psychodynamic approach, which means I’m interested in how your past experiences and relationships might be showing up in your current life.
I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). This type of therapy is commonly used for treating trauma symptoms, but can be used for anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and eating disorder symptoms. We’ll work together to notice patterns and build insight that helps you move forward.

I enjoy building relationships and promoting positive changes in people's lives. I believe that "weaknesses" are often strengths overutilized or used in non-ideal contexts. Working collaboratively with clients, I can help them better utilize their innate strengths to meet their goals and improve their day to day lives. My clients often struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, gay men's issues, phobias, relationships, sleep problems, self-esteem and confidence. I am especially interested in working with gay identified men and people struggling with phobias or OCD, but love working with all sorts of folks and issues.
I have training and experience in using a variety of therapies and use a blend of different methods. I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I strive to be flexible and adaptive to the individual needs of my clients. I would be honored to work with you.

I started my doctoral program in 2000 and could not wait to get through the boring assessment classes so I could start learning about therapy. I mean, really, what can a bunch of numbers and inkblots tell you about a person? Much to my surprise, those early courses piqued my curiosity and the practice of doing evaluations made me a true believer. Hearing clients say things like, “Wow! It makes so much sense now!” or “I didn’t realize I was doing that” is a powerful and humbling experience. Today, assessment is one of my passions because I see how it changes people’s lives for the better.
My approach to assessment is collaborative, which means building a relationship with you to ensure the experience and results are meaningful. Depending on what you are looking for, test results can range from determining a correct diagnosis to providing valuable information about personal motivations and capacities.
Together we develop an assessment plan, engage in the work, discuss the results, and figure out how it fits into your life. Final reports are a combination of your personal insight and my professional experience.

Too often we get caught up in worrying about things we cannot control, yet don't know where to start in making a change in the right direction. Maybe you are currently struggling in your relationships, navigating blended family dynamics, trying to cope with social anxiety or there are just things you experienced growing up and you just can't seem to "let it go." As your therapist, I will take the time to get to know and understand your experiences, areas of stuckness, and overwhelm, as we work together to create meaningful changes.
The clients who connect with me the most are adults and young adults experiencing symptoms of anxiety, unresolved trauma, or poor self-esteem. I draw from a variety of therapy models, primarily using mindfulness-based approaches, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), and existential therapy.

I provide therapy to adolescents and adults grounded in evidence-based practices to support clients in building meaningful change and resilience. My goal is to create a safe, warm, and inviting space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. I believe healing happens through empathy, collaboration, and authentic connection, and I work alongside you to identify goals and develop strategies that fit your needs and values.
I work with traumatized individuals, those with cluster B personality traits, ADHD, anxiety and depression. I am committed to providing affirming care for the LGBTQIA+ community and to fostering an environment where all identities and experiences are respected and celebrated. I focus on learning who a person is uniquely, and I take an active role in treatment, offering genuine warmth and support as well as practical feedback. I draw from various theoretical approaches but commonly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindful self-compassion, Exposure Response Prevention, and Internal Family Systems. As a licensed clinical social worker I have had the pleasure of working in cities across the United States with a wide range of individuals from a variety of backgrounds.
I work with individuals 18 and older, and my areas of special interest include anxiety, OCD, mindfulness, self-compassion, and climate-conscious therapy (support for anxiety/distress about our changing ecosystem).
