COVID-19 Update: We're Still Open!
Now that the governor of Minnesota has issued a 'stay at home' order that takes effect at the end of the day on Friday, March 27th, you might be wondering: is Catalyst Mental Health still open and providing services?
The answer is: yes! You can actually connect with our therapists in more ways than ever before.
Mental health is considered an 'essential service' by the new executive order, which means that you can still meet in-person with our therapists at either of our clinic locations if there are no alternatives available. However, we have a variety of alternatives you can choose from as well.
Have a speedy internet connection and a webcam? Then connect with one of our therapists via telehealth. All major insurance plans in the state of Minnesota are now covering sessions delivered by our therapists via telehealth to clients located anywhere in the United States. We've also made the process surprisingly simple. All you need is a computer, laptop, or mobile device with a webcam and a decent internet connection -- even a smartphone will do. Virtual connections to our providers are made via a web browser, so there is no need to download any special software.
Don't have a speedy internet connection and a webcam? Then connect with one of our therapists via a regular telephone instead. Almost all major insurance companies have now agreed to cover sessions delivered by our therapists via a regular telephone in the same way that they would cover an in-person session for the duration of the pandemic. For those of you who are not tech-savvy, or who might feel daunted by the prospect of trouble-shooting a telehealth connection, this may be the best option for you!
So, don't let the pandemic become a barrier to care. If you need help, we're going to find a way to get you the help you need. Just give us a call and we'll get you scheduled for a meeting, a telehealth session, or a phone call with one of our therapists as soon as possible.
